Vista launches new IP VNPR transmission Range

30th March, Reading UK

Vista is pleased to announce the release of its new range of full HD Number plate recognition cameras and controllers – now using IP transmission rather than the traditional coax and grabber cards. This gives the advantage of plate recognition on wider lanes, higher quality images and increased read rates, providing a more flexible infrastructure to the system.

The new IP VNPR transmission range has been developed in response to customer feedback. Cameras can be either wall mountable or enclosed inside stainless steel bollard housings for barrier control and offer a variety of viewing distances. The new range uses the traditional Vista VNPR recognition software and is fully compatible with existing versions.

Key features include:

  • Full HD IP cameras
  • In-built IR illumination and filtering
  • 3-15m read range options
  • Wall and bollard cameras
  • ONVIF overview camera option

Bob Forehand, Vista Product Manager, comments: “This new range of IP transmission Number Plate cameras and controllers has been launched to meet the needs of our installers. We have designed the range using our existing tried and tested Vista VNPR recognition technology, but with the compatibility of IP transmission. The increased camera HD resolution allows a single camera to cover a 4m wide lane at a specified read rate and the range comes pre-configured in 3 different range options covering up to 15m. The addition of in-built IR illumination guarantees the quality of images of number plates 24/7 – even when the cars’ headlights are pointed directly at the camera.”
